COONAPROSAL is currently developing its´ own processing facility, to be strategically located near the port city of Puntarenas. Groundbreaking will begin early in 2008, and the plant is designed to do traditional as well as value-added products. This will allow us to take full advantage of the excellent quality product we have available and fulfill our mission to completely satisfy our clients.

Unlike the industry norm, this plant will be wholly owned by the cooperative of producers. We feel that the advantage of having the product available almost all year round will allow us to better satisfy our clients needs.

With pride COONAPROSAL can offer our fresh frozen products in the form and packaging that the client indicates, including:

• Whole or tail, classified according to international standards
• Fresh frozen or cooked and frozen (IQF)
• Presentations including 1 kilo, 2 kilos or 5 pounds (boxes), or 5 kilo bags
• Value-added products such as peeled, deveined, butterfly, etc.
